WHAT WE BELIEVE

Our beliefs are rooted in Scripture and centered on Jesus.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired Word of God and the foundation for what we believe and how we live. God’s Word is true, trustworthy and relevant to our lives.

GOD

We believe there is one God. We believe in God the Father, Jesus Christ His Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is Creator, holy, loving, faithful and good. He alone is worthy of our worship.

JESUS

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins and rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended to Heaven and will return again.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is God and active today. He draws people to Jesus, guides us into truth, indwells believers, transforms us and empowers us to live out the mission of Jesus. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and are given for the building up of the Church.

HUMANITY

We believe every person is created in the image of God with God-given dignity and value. Sin separated humanity from God, leaving every person in need of His grace and redemption.

SALVATION

Salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness of sin, reconciliation with God and new life are available to everyone who places their faith in Jesus. Salvation cannot be earned through our own efforts.

CHRISTIAN LIVING

Following Jesus changes how we live. We believe in repentance, surrender and the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit in making us more like Jesus. We seek to live according to Scripture, walk in love, pursue holiness and bear the fruit of the Spirit.

THE CHURCH

The Church is the body of Christ and the family of believers. We gather to worship, pray, grow in God’s Word and encourage one another, and we are sent to make disciples and carry the Gospel into the world.

BAPTISM + COMMUNION

We believe water baptism is an act of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Jesus. We practice Communion in remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus and what He accomplished through His death and resurrection.

HEALING + SPIRITUAL GIFTS

We believe God still heals and that the Church is called to pray for the sick. We believe the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and should operate according to Scripture, in love and for the building up of the Church.

MARRIAGE + SEXUALITY

We believe God created humanity male and female in His image and established marriage as a covenant between one man and one woman. We believe sexual intimacy is God’s gift and is designed to be expressed within the covenant of marriage.

We believe every person is created in the image of God and should be treated with dignity, compassion, honor and love.

ETERNITY

We believe Jesus will return. We believe in the resurrection of the dead, final judgment, Heaven and Hell, and eternal life with God for those who receive salvation through Jesus Christ.
